Lead go Engineer

Numi Partners with a mission critical infrastructure provider building secure systems for law enforcement and government clients. Location: London, hybrid (1 to 2 days per week on site). The Role You will be joining a small, high velocity engineering team currently undertaking a greenfield rebuild. We are looking for a product minded developer who cares deeply about user experience and delivering real value rather than just solving complex technical puzzles. In this team, engineering owns everything. There are no separate product or platform teams, meaning you will have true end to end ownership of your work. We operate in a properly agile, Kanban based environment with no sprints. The team owns its own roadmap, supported by daily standups and twice weekly refinements. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production code across the stack using Go, React, and Terraform.
• Take complete ownership of features from conception through to deployment and operation.
• Collaborate closely with the team to shape the product roadmap and drive high velocity delivery.
• Focus on the end user, ensuring that technical decisions translate into excellent product experiences.
• Participate actively in our agile processes, ensuring smooth continuous delivery without the constraints of rigid sprint cycles. Essential Experience
• Solid commercial experience as a software developer with Go as your primary language, or exceptional experience in another backend language with a genuine readiness to transition to Go.
• Demonstrable commercial experience within the payments sector or at a fintech disruptor.
• A strongly product minded approach, prioritising user value and practical delivery over abstract technical perfection.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a lean team where you own your output completely.
• You must hold a UK passport and be able to commute to the London office a couple of days a week. Desirable Experience
• Commercial exposure to React and Terraform.
• Previous experience working in rapid growth fintech or payment environments.
• An appetite to take on leadership responsibilities over time, whilst remaining primarily focused on shipping code and maintaining velocity in the immediate term.
