Trustee

We are looking for a number of trustees with experience in:

• finance
• audit and risk
• primary education
• SEND Come and challenge educational and social disadvantage in the North with us. Our trustees set our trust's vision and strategic direction and we need you to help us continue to go from strength to strength. As part of this voluntary role, you will be responsible for working closely with our leaders to:
• ensure strong educational outcomes for children and young people across our trust
• oversee our trust's financial sustainability, stewardship and value for money
• ensure effective governance, risk management and internal controls as well as compliance with legal, regulatory and statutory requirements
• safeguard our trust's reputation, assets and long-term interests You will be expected to attend six meetings a year (two face to face in one of our academies in Bradford, Leeds, Liverpool and Greater Manchester) and undertake ongoing training and development as appropriate. Depending on skills and experience, trustees may be asked to serve on or chair a board committee, or provide specialist oversight in areas such as audit and risk, finance, education, people or governance.
