Power Platform Developer
Cathcart TechnologyA Power Platform Developer is required for a leading global organisation based in Glasgow. You'll be joining a new AI-focused team working with some really interesting and modern technologies. You'll be joining a high-performing, Glasgow-based team, with a real mix of work. This includes developing new applications, improving existing systems and supporting solutions already being used across the organisation's global footprint. A big focus for the role is Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, alongside the opportunity to work with Copilot Studio and emerging AI capabilities. This is a Developer role first, so you'll also be actively involved in building applications using technologies such as React / TypeScript, .NET and Azure. Experience with some of this stack would be ideal. It's not just about building something and moving on, either. You'll have the opportunity to contribute across the full development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing solutions through to testing, deployment and ongoing support. They're looking for someone who naturally thinks about how things can be improved, whether that's automating repetitive tasks, improving performance or reducing the amount of support required. You'll be working closely with other Developers, Product Managers, Designers and technical colleagues, so it's a good fit for someone who enjoys collaborating, gathering feedback and turning ideas into practical solutions. There's also scope to explore newer technologies, particularly around Copilot Studio and generative AI, and find ways to apply these where they can add genuine value. You'll ideally have experience with most of the following:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and/or Power BI)
- Software development using .NET, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
- Cloud services (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Building, maintaining and supporting applications in a production environment Experience with the following would also be highly desirable:
- Copilot Studio or other generative AI technologies
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Front-end development using React If you're someone who enjoys getting stuck into technical challenges, working across the development lifecycle and experimenting with newer technologies, then this could be a really interesting next step for you. In return, they're offering a good salary package, happy to discuss prior to application, alongside a strong benefits package to match. They're also big advocates for L&D, with plenty of encouragement and support to gain relevant accreditations. Their offices are based in Glasgow city centre, where they support hybrid working. You'll be expected to be onsite around two to three days per week to collaborate with the wider team. If you're interested in finding out more, please apply or drop Douglas Paget a message for an informal chat.
