Day rate: £800 per day (inside IR35) Location: London Working arrangement: Hybrid Contract: 12 months initially, with strong potential for extension Employment type: Contract – Umbrella or PAYE Start date: Flexible About the opportunity Via is partnering with a FTSE 250 global manufacturing business looking for a Head of PMO to lead governance and programme oversight for a major SAP S/4HANA transformation. The business is migrating from SAP ECC and legacy ERP systems to SAP S/4HANA across manufacturing, supply chain, finance and order-to-cash operations in multiple regions. You'll establish and lead the Programme Management Office (PMO), ensuring effective governance, accurate reporting and strong control over delivery, budgets, risks and system integrators. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring extensive experience managing complex, global SAP transformation programmes. What you'll be doing

• Establish and lead the PMO for a global SAP S/4HANA transformation
• Design and implement programme governance, reporting and controls
• Maintain integrated programme plans, budgets, milestones and risk registers
• Provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior leadership and steering committees
• Oversee programme delivery across multiple regions and business functions
• Manage dependencies between workstreams, internal teams and system integrators
• Monitor programme costs, resources, risks and delivery performance
• Challenge delivery plans and identify issues before they affect programme outcomes
• Manage system integrator performance, commercial commitments and contractual obligations
• Support senior stakeholders with strategic programme decisions
• Ensure delivery aligns with SAP Activate methodology and transformation objectives What we're looking for
• Significant experience leading PMOs for large-scale ERP or SAP transformation programmes
• At least one full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation in a global, multi-site organisation
• Strong understanding of SAP Activate and S/4HANA programme delivery
• Experience establishing PMO governance and controls from the ground up
• Proven experience managing multiple system integrators, including commercial performance
• Strong programme planning, financial oversight, risk and dependency management
• Experience delivering complex transformations across multiple countries or business units
• Confidence challenging senior programme leaders and external delivery partners
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive reporting skills
• Experience within manufacturing, supply chain or other complex enterprise environments Useful additional experience
• Regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals or life sciences
• SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations
• Global manufacturing or supply chain transformations
• Managing multiple system integrators
• PMP, MSP or PRINCE2 certification Why apply?
