Senior Java API Engineer My client is a payments technology business - looking for a Senior Java Engineer to build and support cloud-native API solutions. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and APIs
- Design and optimise PostgreSQL and NoSQL database solutions
- Build, deploy and support cloud-based applications and services
- Create and maintain automated test frameworks
- Collaborate with product, engineering and infrastructure teams
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance Skills
- 6+ years Java development experience
- Strong API and backend development experience
- Experience with Couchbase and/or NoSQL databases
- Strong PostgreSQL experience
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Automated testing experience including unit, integration and end-to-end testing
- Agile development experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Desirable
- Payments industry experience
- Payment cloud services experience
- Microservices architecture experience
- DevOps and automation experience
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
