This program is designed to help you move from understanding data engineering concepts to actually building, testing, automating and explaining modern data pipelines. WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? Build practical experience across technologies used in modern data engineering UK business environments:

• Python & Advanced SQL - Data processing, transformations, validation and relational querying.
• PySpark & Apache Spark - Distributed data processing, transformations and large-scale data pipelines.
• Databricks & Delta Lake - Lakehouse architecture, reliable data storage and incremental processing.
• ETL/ELT & Data Modelling - Develop Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers, data-quality checks and analytical models.
• Apache Kafka & Structured Streaming - Event-driven pipelines and real-time data processing.
• Git, GitHub & CI/CD - Version control, automated testing and deployment using GitHub Actions.

During the final four weeks, participants will undertake a supervised, project-based internship component centred on developing an end-to-end data engineering solution.
