Paraplanner - Independent Firm
at Financial DivisionsThis is a paraplanning role with genuine substance — at a firm that has built its name on thoughtful, personalised financial planning for clients whose financial lives span the full spectrum. From driven entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals still actively building their wealth, to those who have reached a point where protecting and passing it on wisely matters most. The business is small, close-knit and deliberately so, and that is precisely what makes it an interesting place to work. Every person in the team contributes to something that feels considered rather than transactional, and the paraplanner sits at the heart of that. This is not a back-room function — it is a role with real influence, where the quality of your technical work directly shapes the advice clients receive and the confidence with which they make some of the most important financial decisions of their lives. Working closely alongside the financial planning team, you will take full ownership of producing technically accurate and compliant financial plans, cashflow models and recommendation reports, carrying out product and investment research, preparing meeting documentation and ensuring that every piece of work reflects the firm's commitment to clarity and genuine client care. Cashflow modelling experience, ideally using Voyant, is important in this role. The clients are high-net-worth individuals and the advice spans the full range of financial planning — pensions and retirement planning, investment and wealth management, protection, inheritance and tax planning. Technical strength across all of these areas is essential, as is the ability to translate complex knowledge into something a client can genuinely understand and act upon. The firm invests in its people with the same commitment it brings to its clients. Hands-on training, dedicated development time and a genuine culture of encouragement mean that the right person will not simply maintain their technical skills here — they will sharpen them. An interest in embracing the latest technology, including AI, will be welcomed and actively supported. The right candidate will hold the Diploma in Financial Planning and bring a minimum of two years' paraplanning experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial planning tools such as Voyant.
