Quectel

Role Objective Quectel Wireless Solutions is a global IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Modules, C-V2X, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+), and GNSS modules. Due to business expansion in the Serbian market, our R&D Centre in Belgrade is looking for a motivated and proactive Communication Manager UK to join our growing team. Working closely with the Head of Communications, the PR Manager will play a hands-on role in delivering Quectel's global and regional PR programme, creating compelling content, developing relationships with technology, business and vertical media, and identifying opportunities to tell the Quectel story. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in IoT, telecommunications, wireless technology or a related B2B technology sector and be comfortable translating complex technical topics into clear, engaging stories. The role will also support the Social Media Manager in implementing Quectel's social media activity, including the development of organic content and, where appropriate, supporting paid social campaigns. Role Responsibilities PR and Media Relations

  • Support the development and execution of Quectel's global PR strategy, working closely with the Head of Communications and wider marketing team.
  • Research, write and edit press releases, contributed articles, blogs, case studies, briefing documents and other communications materials.
  • Work with Quectel's product, marketing and sales teams to identify strong stories from across the business and turn technical developments into compelling external communications.
  • Work with customers, partners and other third parties to develop joint announcements and customer success stories.
  • Support product launches, corporate announcements, events and other key communications programmes.
  • Respond to incoming media enquiries and coordinate interviews and briefings with Quectel spokespeople.
  • Develop briefing materials, talking points and Q&A documents for senior executives and other company spokespeople.
  • Support the development of Quectel's thought leadership programme, identifying topics and opportunities that strengthen the company's position across IoT and its key vertical markets.
  • Support media activity around major industry events, including arranging press briefings and identifying proactive media opportunities.
  • Monitor relevant media coverage, competitor activity and industry trends to identify communications opportunities.
  • Track PR performance and contribute to regular reporting on media coverage, share of voice and other communications KPIs. Social Media and Digital Communications
  • Work with the Social Media Manager and wider marketing team to support Quectel's corporate social media channels, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Develop and edit organic social content supporting product launches, thought leadership, events, customer stories and other corporate activity.
  • Identify opportunities to extend PR and thought leadership content through social media and other digital channels.
  • Help maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across PR and social channels.
  • Monitor relevant conversations and trends across social platforms to identify opportunities for Quectel to participate. Experience and Skills
  • Strong experience in B2B technology PR, either in-house or within an agency.
  • Experience of IoT is highly desirable, with telecommunications, wireless, semiconductor, embedded technology, enterprise technology or related experience also relevant.
  • Strong existing relationships with technology and/or business media.
  • Excellent written English and the ability to produce high-quality copy with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience writing press releases, articles, pitches, briefing documents and other PR materials.
  • Ability to understand complex technical subjects and translate them into clear and engaging communications for different audiences.
  • Experience of proactive media relations and a track record of securing meaningful editorial coverage.
  • Good understanding of social media, particularly LinkedIn, and experience creating organic B2B social content.
  • Experience supporting paid social campaigns would be an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders, product teams, sales teams, customers and external partners.
  • Comfortable working within an international organisation and collaborating with colleagues across different regions and time zones.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to identify stories and opportunities rather than simply responding to requests. About You You will be a strong communicator who combines excellent writing skills with an instinct for what makes a good story. You will be comfortable getting into the detail of technical products and markets but equally able to step back and understand the wider business or industry story. Most importantly, you will be curious about technology and able to find interesting, relevant stories within a complex and rapidly evolving industry. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted!
