Your New Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Project Manager to join our vibrant, inclusive community that celebrates our differences and makes a real impact across the UK. This role will be carried out on site at Tatton House (M23 9LF).

What will the role offer?

Working at Amey puts you at the centre of an inspiring expert team. As a Project Manager, you will assist the Senior Project Manager in the execution of their duties and act on their behalf as directed. You will manage the interface between designers and specialist contractors during the design, procurement and construction phases to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget whilst minimising customer disruption. You will also manage projects from start to finish, including post completion activities.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

We offer a range of flexible working practices, including hybrid, part-time and flexible working patterns. With our network of offices across the UK, we are open to discussing working options that match your needs, with the flexibility to change how you work as your life evolves.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as the link between design, delivery and supply chain teams, ensuring effective collaboration and early contractor involvement throughout project lifecycles.
  • Support the planning, programming and successful delivery of highway schemes, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, programme and financial objectives.
  • Manage contractor and supply chain engagement, including meetings, site visits, coordination and performance throughout design and construction phases.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, Principal Contractor duties, health and safety requirements, quality standards and relevant legislation.
  • Develop, monitor and manage construction programmes, risk registers and project documentation.
  • Produce and support financial reporting, progress updates, valuations, certifications and key performance data.
  • Work closely with internal teams, local authorities, statutory bodies, emergency services and other stakeholders to coordinate works and minimise disruption.
  • Promote innovation, value engineering and continuous improvement across design and construction activities.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in managing contracts, stakeholder relationships and successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure all schemes are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, Street Works Regulations (SRW) and company standards.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Qualified to HND/Degree level in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and competency gained through relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience working on a Highways contract
  • Understanding of construction related activities within the civil engineering industry
  • CDM Training
  • SMSTS
  • Commercial awareness
