At iPsomics, we support researchers, clinicians and healthcare innovators with advanced genomics services. From DNA and RNA sequencing to iPSC generation and genome engineering, we help our clients translate scientific questions into meaningful results.

We are a boutique Contract Research Organization (CRO) based in the Netherlands. Our strength lies in combining scientific excellence with personal attention, flexibility and a true partnership approach. As we enter an exciting growth phase, we are looking for a Business Developer who will help expand our scientific network, develop new client relationships and contribute directly to the continued growth of iPsomics.

About the role

As Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships, and converting scientific interest into new projects. You enjoy engaging with researchers, biotech companies, and healthcare innovators. You understand their scientific challenges and can connect them with the right expertise within iPsomics. You bring strong commercial instincts and are comfortable learning enough of the underlying science to hold a credible conversation and connect prospects with the right expertise within iPsomics.

You will work closely with our Project Manager, Managing Director and the scientific team to ensure promising opportunities are translated into successful collaborations. This role is ideal for someone with either a scientific background who wants to combine science and business, or someone who is experienced in business development in a life science environment but is not a scientist. You will be working in a highly visible position within a growing organization.

Required

  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences or related fields.
  • Experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in a scientific, CRO, or life sciences environment.
  • Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with a track record of building pipelines and closing deals.
  • Strong affinity with genomics, sequencing technologies, stem cell research or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with scientific colleagues.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a CRO, biotech company, academic core facility or genomics environment.
  • Existing network within academia, biotech or healthcare.
  • Experience writing scientific proposals, quotations, or project plans.
  • Dutch language skills.
