Senior Full Stack Engineer

About The Role

FDM is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing technology team supporting a major legal client in Sydney.

This is a hands-on role for a highly capable engineer who enjoys solving complex business challenges, mentoring teams, and engaging with stakeholders across the organisation.

We're looking for engineers who think beyond the obvious, enjoy solving complex challenges, and want to shape how AI is applied in the real world, not just talk about what's possible.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable full stack applications.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Drive technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple platforms.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle from design through to deployment and support.

About You

• Extensive experience as a Full Stack Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Python, React, and Java.
• Knowledge or experience with Appian platforms and workflow solutions.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering solutions in complex, fast-paced environments.

Preferred:

• Experience within legal, professional services, or highly regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud technologies, and agile delivery practices.
