Hiring: Head of Wholesale Platforms 📍 Location: Reading, UK 💼 Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) or Permanent (FTE) 💰 Maximum Salary Budget: £125,000 per annum 📡 Industry: Telecommunications 🎯 Experience: 15–20 Years About the Role We are seeking an experienced Head of Wholesale Platforms to lead a critical portfolio of wholesale technology platforms within a major UK telecommunications transformation programme. This senior leadership position will own platform strategy, technology roadmaps, delivery governance, operational performance and large-scale transformation across a complex wholesale telecom estate. You will work closely with business leadership, engineering, architecture, product, delivery and third-party suppliers to ensure platform stability, successful transformation delivery and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Wholesale Platforms portfolio and technology roadmap.
• Lead platform delivery, release governance and operational readiness.
• Drive reliability, scalability, performance and cost optimisation.
• Govern demand management, prioritisation and investment decisions.
• Lead multidisciplinary platform, architecture, release and delivery teams.
• Oversee strategic transformation programmes and platform modernisation.
• Manage executive stakeholders, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Champion automation, continuous improvement and operational excellence. Mandatory Skills & Experience ✅ 15–20 years of experience in technology leadership, preferably within telecommunications. ✅ Strong expertise in Wholesale Telecom, OSS/BSS, Service Assurance, Service Fulfilment or Field Service. ✅ Proven leadership of large-scale telecom technology transformation programmes. ✅ Strong experience in release management, delivery governance and operational readiness. ✅ Experience managing distributed teams, third-party suppliers and complex technology portfolios. ✅ Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with Executive and Director-level leadership. ✅ Strong commercial awareness, demand management and investment prioritisation capabilities. Desirable Skills
• Wholesale telecom, fixed-line networks and fibre environments.
• API, integration and platform technologies.
• Cloud transformation and platform modernisation.
• Experience with major telecom operators or managed service providers.
