Software Engineer (Back-end) - Typescript, Go Up To £60,000 + Benefits 📍 London - 2 days onsite We're working with a well-established technology business behind one of the UK's streaming platforms. They're looking for a Software Developer to join their Platform Engineering team, helping build and scale the services that power live and on-demand TV experiences used by millions. This is an opportunity to work on high-scale cloud services, modern serverless architectures, and next-generation platform engineering initiatives, including the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices. The Role You'll join a collaborative engineering team responsible for delivering and maintaining critical metadata services that support websites, mobile applications and TV platforms. The environment is highly agile, with regular deployments, modern tooling, and a strong focus on software quality. You'll spend your time:

• Building and maintaining high-traffic API and metadata services
• Developing primarily in TypeScript, while contributing to the adoption of Go for new performance-critical services
• Working with AWS serverless technologies
• Participating in technical design, planning and architecture discussions
• Conducting code reviews and collaborating through pair programming
• Leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and quality
• Supporting continuous improvement across software delivery practices including testing, monitoring and documentation What We're Looking For
• Commercial experience building scalable web services and APIs
• Strong TypeScript development experience
• Experience working with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices including CI/CD, code reviews and automated testing
• Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Comfortable working in agile, distributed engineering teams
