Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the PE Investors and senior leadership team, this is a high-profile, highly commercial role sitting at the centre of the Group's planning, performance management, reporting and financial decision-making agenda. This role goes well beyond traditional FP&A. You'll have the opportunity to shape and transform the FP&A function, taking ownership of budgeting and forecasting while redesigning processes, improving reporting and introducing new technology and AI-enabled solutions to make the function more efficient, scalable and commercially valuable. You'll also take a key role in PE and investor reporting, alongside producing high-quality reporting for the Group's senior leadership team. You'll be responsible for ensuring investors and senior stakeholders have a clear understanding of performance, whilst providing the analysis and insight needed to support strategic decision-making. The business operates in a fast-paced, high-growth and acquisitive environment, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and building a best-in-class FP&A function through a period of significant change. Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the Group budgeting, forecasting and planning processes, ensuring they provide clear, accurate and actionable insight.
  • Lead the continued transformation and development of the FP&A function, redesigning processes, ways of working and reporting to support the Group's growth.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality PE, investor and Board reporting, providing clear analysis of Group performance, key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Produce and enhance C-suite and senior leadership reporting, translating complex financial and operational data into clear, commercially relevant insight.
  • Partner closely with the CFO and COO on Group-wide financial planning, performance and commercial decision-making.
  • Lead regular performance reviews with Managing Directors and business leaders, challenging performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders on budget allocation, headcount planning, investment decisions and resource allocation.
  • Support the CFO and wider leadership team with capital allocation, funding and strategic investment decisions.
  • Provide financial analysis and commercial support around M&A, strategic investments and post-acquisition integration.
  • Support the integration of new businesses into Group budgets, forecasts, reporting and performance management processes.
  • Develop and improve management reporting, dashboards and performance metrics across the Group.
  • Work closely with business leaders to understand the key drivers of performance and identify opportunities to improve growth, profitability and efficiency.
  • Evaluate the financial returns of strategic initiatives, including technology, AI, hiring and commercial investments.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into FP&A, improving the speed, quality and scalability of analysis, reporting and forecasting.
  • Support cash flow, liquidity, debt and covenant analysis alongside the CFO.
  • Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting, systems and data.
  • Help build a scalable, technology-enabled and commercially focused FP&A function capable of supporting the Group's continued growth. About You We're looking for a commercially minded FP&A leader who can operate comfortably at senior level and influence business decisions beyond the finance function. You'll ideally bring:
  • Significant experience in FP&A leadership, ideally within a high-growth, technology, SaaS or PE-backed environment.
  • A strong track record of owning and improving budgeting, forecasting, reporting and performance management processes.
  • Proven experience producing investor, PE, Board and/or C-suite reporting, with the ability to clearly communicate financial performance, trends and key business drivers.
  • A track record of transforming or redesigning FP&A functions, processes and reporting.
  • Strong interest in and/or experience with AI, automation, data and technology within finance, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve how FP&A operates.
  • Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable business decisions.
  • Experience partnering with CFOs, COOs, MDs / GMs and wider senior leadership teams.
  • The confidence and gravitas to challenge senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
  • Previous exposure to M&A and post-acquisition integration would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of capital allocation, investment appraisal and financial modelling.
  • Experience operating in a high-growth, changing or acquisitive environment.
  • Exposure to debt, covenant management, liquidity or funding requirements would be beneficial.
  • Experience partnering with multiple business units and senior operational stakeholders.
  • Strong systems and data capability, with experience improving dashboards, reporting and FP&A processes.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, ownership-driven approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to investors, executives and operational stakeholders.
  • Qualified accountant or equivalent strong commercial finance background. Why This Role? This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth PE-backed technology business at a genuinely exciting stage of its journey and have significant influence over how the Group manages performance and makes financial decisions. You'll have the scope to transform an existing FP&A function, work directly with the CFO and senior leadership team, take ownership of investor and executive reporting, support M&A and strategic investment decisions, and explore how AI and technology can fundamentally improve the way FP&A operates. For the right person, this is much more than a traditional VP FP&A position. It's an opportunity to build, transform and lead a modern FP&A function at the heart of a rapidly scaling business.
