You'll play a key role in strengthening the voluntary and community sector across Hillingdon, connecting volunteers with meaningful opportunities and supporting young Community Champions to improve health and wellbeing in their communities.  ​ What You'll Be Doing ​

• Recruiting, interviewing and matching volunteers with local charities and community organisations
• Managing volunteer opportunities and applications through our Volunteer Hub
• Delivering volunteer inductions, outreach activities and volunteering events
• Building relationships with community groups, Jobcentre Plus, universities and youth organisations
• Supporting and developing a cohort of 18-25 year old Community Champions
• Promoting volunteering opportunities and health messages across Hillingdon
• Helping local organisations improve their volunteer recruitment and management practices
• Monitoring impact and gathering feedback to demonstrate the difference volunteering makes ​ What We're Looking For ​
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience of working with volunteers, community groups or young people
• Confidence engaging with people from a wide range of backgrounds
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to motivate and support others to achieve their goals
• A proactive, enthusiastic approach and willingness to work collaboratively
• Passion for volunteering, community development and improving local health and wellbeing outcomes
