How the check works
- Hourly pay is compared as entered. Daily pay is spread over a five-day week, weekly pay over your hours, monthly pay over 52 weeks and yearly pay over the weeks it covers, all at your hours per week.
- Your age band sets the legal minimum. The apprentice rate applies to apprentices under 19 and to anyone in the first year of an apprenticeship, whatever their age.
- The Real Living Wage is a voluntary rate set by the Living Wage Foundation, with a higher figure for London. A job in Greater London reaches the top wage class only at the London figure.
- Every job with pay on inkscroll carries the same wage class, and signed-in members can hide jobs below a pay floor. See How to use job search preferences.
The result comes from the figures you enter and the published rates. It is not legal advice.
