About Bloom Stays Bloom Stays is an independent holiday letting agency representing more than 130 remarkable homes across Kent and Sussex. We are selective — many homes might be considered, but only a handful are chosen to become Bloom Stays homes. Owners stay with us because we know Kent and Sussex inside out, because there is always a friendly voice at the end of the phone rather than a call centre, and because our success has always come from building strong, long-term partnerships with owners.
The opportunity This is a new role, created to grow our presence along the East Kent coast and support our Kent Area Manager. It is a genuine business development position: your job is to start conversations that would not otherwise have happened. You will not be handed a diary of warm enquiries. You will build your own, through introducing yourself in person, picking up the phone, working local social media and community groups, targeted flyer and mail drops, and — above all — becoming the name that estate agents, cleaning and laundry firms, gardeners, builders, interior designers and local businesses think of first when an owner mentions holiday letting. The other half of the role is quieter work. Many of the owners you meet will not have decided anything yet. Some are moving abroad, some have inherited a home they love, some are weighing up letting against selling. They need a steady, experienced hand and honest advice, not a hard sell. The people who do well here are persistent and warm in equal measure.
What you will be doing Creating your own pipeline — proactive outreach, local networking, referral partnerships and a good deal of persistence. Meeting owners at their kitchen tables, understanding their goals, and advising openly on whether holiday letting is right for them. Valuing and pitching with credibility — realistic revenue expectations, rate strategy, and a clear explanation of our Bookings & Marketing service and our growing Fully Managed service, so each owner lands in the option that genuinely suits them. Agreeing terms and signing new homes to the portfolio. Onboarding — seeing each home through valuation, styling advice, photography and go-live so it performs from its first season. Looking after your owners once they have joined the Bloom Stays family, reviewing performance and keeping retention high. Representing Bloom Stays locally at trade fairs, county shows, owner events and business networking.
About you At least two years in a proactive, target-carrying sales role — property, lettings, hospitality, tourism, media or B2B services all translate well Comfortable creating opportunities from a standing start, and organised enough to work autonomously Resilient and charming rather than pushy: you understand that a home is personal, and that a “not yet” today is often a yes next spring Genuinely well connected in East Kent — local relationships and a little black book are a real advantage Consultative by instinct, with the confidence to recommend what is right for the owner Comfortable with technology — CRM, Google Drive, and picking up booking and property management systems quickly A car and clean driving licence, as this is a field role across a wide coastal patch
What we offer £30,000 FTE basic salary, pro rata for part-time Uncapped staged commission, paid as homes go live and start earning — £5,000–£8,000 OTE is realistic for a strong performer The backing of an established brand, a team of 12, a full range of owner service options and 30 years of holiday letting experience to help you succeed Mileage allowance, expense card, company laptop and mobile Generous holiday allowance and your birthday off Team days, socials and offsite activities — from spa days to GoApe to wreath making at Christmas. Ongoing training and development, and real influence over how we build the East Kent market
How to apply Send your CV to business@bloomstays.com with a short note answering one question: if you started on Monday with no leads and an empty diary, what would your first two weeks in East Kent look like? Tell us where you would begin, who you would talk to, and how you would get your first few owner conversations booked. Please also let us know where you are based and the working pattern that suits you. We are looking for candidates on or near the East Kent coast, though we would happily hear from anyone in Kent who knows the patch well.
