Building Surveyor (Interim)

• Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
• Job Type: Interim
• Day rate: £450 per hour Umbrella
• Length of role: Initial 3 months

We are seeking a Building Surveyor to provide professional expertise across a range of capital and refurbishment projects. This role involves delivering comprehensive surveying, design, contract administration, and project management services from inception to completion.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver building surveying services across alteration, refurbishment, and construction projects.
• Undertake project management duties on construction and property-related schemes.
• Prepare and review designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Administer construction contracts and manage contractor performance.
• Provide professional advice on building construction, maintenance, and property-related matters.
• Support procurement and tendering activities as required.
• Monitor project costs, programmes, and risks to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
• Undertake Principal Designer responsibilities where suitably qualified and appointed.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Building Surveyor within construction, property, or asset management environments.
• Strong background in refurbishment, alteration, and improvement works.
• Skilled in contract administration and project management of construction-related projects.
• Understanding of building design, construction methods, and technical standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.
