Wrap Around Care Assistant

• Annual Salary: £14.24 per hour
• Location: Bury St Edmunds
• Job Type: Part-time
• Hours: 8am - 9am & 3pm - 6pm

We are seeking a dedicated Wrap Around Care Assistant to join our team in a vibrant school environment in Bury St Edmunds. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing excellent care and support to children outside of regular school hours. The position is to start as soon as possible, offering a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children during all wrap around care hours.
• Engage children in interactive activities that promote their social, physical, and intellectual development.
• Prepare and facilitate enjoyable and educational games, crafts, and activities.
• Assist in preparing snacks and organising meal times.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about daily activities and children's progress.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of all children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in childcare, education, or a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to create a fun and interactive learning environment.
• Reliable and punctual with a professional work ethic.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willing to undergo this procedure).
