Service Designer

Service Designer Outside IR35 Remote £475p/d 3-6months+ Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Service Designer to join our team in delivering impactful government projects. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with the Government Digital Service (GDS) and a commitment to improving public services through thoughtful design. You will be responsible for designing efficient, user-centric service solutions that align with governmental standards and practises. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimise public service experiences.
• Apply GDS standards to ensure consistency and quality across all service design projects.
• Conduct user research to inform service design decisions, focusing on user needs and behaviours.
• Develop service blueprints and prototypes, identifying improvement opportunities within current systems.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to gather insights and refine concepts.
• Communicate design concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support the implementation of service delivery models that cater to diverse user groups. Experience
• Proven experience as a Service Designer, preferably within a government or public sector setting.
• Strong knowledge of GDS principles and practises in service design.
• Experience in delivering service design projects that improve public sector services.
• Proficiency in user research methodologies and design tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to think strategically about large-scale service ecosystems.
