Company Accountant

Your new company This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful, SME privately owned business in a broad and influential finance role. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, maintaining strong controls, and supporting business decision-making across multiple companies. Your new role Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while producing timely and accurate financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly and consolidated management accounts
• Managing month-end and year-end processes
• Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Managing cash flow forecasting, banking relationships and supplier payments
• Overseeing VAT returns, fixed assets and statutory reporting
• Liaising with auditors and finance providers
• Providing financial analysis and reporting to Directors and business owners What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced accountant with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently in a hands-on environment. You will be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and managing a varied workload. You'll ideally have:
• Experience producing management accounts
• Strong month-end and financial reporting knowledge
• Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
• Cash flow, budgeting and forecasting experience
• A proactive and organised approach
