Senior Credit Risk Manager

Senior Credit Risk Manager - Oil & Gas | London A senior, framework-owning credit risk position within an oil and gas business. You'll set the group's credit risk strategy, appetite and governance framework, and act as the primary authority on high-value counterparty credit decisions - advising senior leadership across Trading, Commercial, Treasury and Finance. What you'll be doing:

• Own and evolve the credit risk strategy, framework and policies, setting risk appetite and governance standards for counterparty exposure
• Act as escalation point for complex, high-risk or sensitive credit decisions, exercising delegated authority within agreed parameters
• Lead credit assessment of new and existing counterparties, including trading partners, joint venture partners and financial institutions
• Maintain oversight of counterparty exposure, concentration risk and emerging threats
• Act as the primary credit risk interface to senior leadership, influencing decision-making across Trading, Commercial, Treasury and Finance
• Own the credit risk framework, including policies, standards and delegated authorities, and lead response to audit findings
• Oversee portfolio-level analysis including stress testing and scenario modelling, directing mitigation strategies for material credit risks
• Lead initiatives to improve credit risk processes, tools and systems, and develop junior team members What we're looking for:
• Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in senior credit risk, financial risk or trading environments
• Deep expertise in counterparty credit assessment, financial analysis and credit documentation (PCGs, Letters of Credit, EFET, ISDA)
• A track record of leading complex, high-value credit decisions with material commercial impact
• Strong leadership experience, including developing teams and influencing at executive level
• High credibility, with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders effectively
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline
