Dermatology Surgical Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Days: Saturday & Sunday Hours: 08:00 – 18:00 About The Role We are currently seeking experienced Dermatology Surgical Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support weekend insourcing lists, helping deliver NHS waiting list initiatives across a range of dermatology surgical services, including Minor Operations and Complex Minor Operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join experienced teams delivering high-quality patient care within busy surgical settings, supporting clinicians and patients throughout their treatment journey. Requirements To be considered, you must:

• Have recent, hands-on experience supporting dermatology surgical lists
• Have been actively undertaking this work for at least 6 months within the past 12 months You will also have:
• Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within an NHS dermatology surgical setting
• Experience assisting with minor surgical procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organisational skills and attention to detail
• A patient-focused approach with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Responsibilities include supporting with:
• Preparing treatment rooms and surgical equipment
• Assisting clinicians during Minor Operations and Complex Minor Operations
• Preparing patients for procedures and providing reassurance throughout their treatment
• Chaperoning patients during consultations and surgical procedures
• Recording patient observations where required
• Maintaining aseptic techniques and infection prevention standards
• Assisting with specimen handling and documentation
• Supporting patient flow throughout surgical lists
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records
• Ensuring clinics run safely, efficiently, and in line with local policies and procedures
