📍 Location: Cambridge (with occasional travel to Huntingdon)

💰 Salary: £36,883 - £37,499 per annum

🕒 Contract: Permanent | Full Time (37 hours per week)

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Human Resources Advisor to join a supportive HR team and play a key role in delivering an exceptional people service across the College. 🎓

💼 The Role

Working closely with managers across the organisation, you'll provide expert HR advice and guidance on a wide range of employee matters while helping to drive the College's Workforce Strategy forward.

✅ What You'll Be Doing

🔹 Advising and coaching managers on employee relations matters, including:

• Absence management
• Disciplinaries
• Grievances
• Capability and performance issues

🔹 Managing recruitment and onboarding processes for designated departments

🔹 Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation

🔹 Supporting HR projects, staff development initiatives, and continuous improvement activities

🔹 Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting safeguarding and safer recruitment compliance

🎯 About You

We're looking for someone who has:

✅ CIPD qualification (or equivalent HR qualification/experience)

✅ Significant experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role

✅ Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice

✅ Experience managing complex employee relations casework

✅ Excellent communication, influencing, and organisational skills

✅ A proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented approach
