Product Owner

Product Owner – Knutsford, UK We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to drive product strategy, roadmap, and delivery within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. The role involves working closely with senior stakeholders, business teams, technology teams, and customers to deliver high-value product enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Own product vision, roadmap, priorities, and feature delivery.
• Act as the primary product representative for business and senior stakeholders.
• Manage product backlog, user stories, refinement, sprint planning, and acceptance.
• Identify new product opportunities, customer pain points, and improvement areas.
• Manage dependencies, priorities, live issues, and product delivery metrics.
• Develop business cases and secure stakeholder funding for new initiatives.
• Collaborate with technology teams to define and deliver product features.
• Conduct market/user research and drive continuous product improvement.
• Manage product risks, governance, and stakeholder relationships. Must-Have Skills
• Strong Product Owner/Product Management experience in SAFe/Scaled Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior leadership engagement.
• Experience with roadmaps, backlog management, user stories, prioritisation, and Agile ceremonies.
• Experience creating and presenting business cases.
• Knowledge of payments and protocols such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, BACS, or CHAPS is preferred.
• Understanding of APIs and product management methodologies is desirable.
• Exposure to AI tools such as Claude or Copilot is a plus.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification is desirable.
