Safeguarding Lead - Volunteer

Experience in safeguarding (professional or voluntary), who is able to approach sensitive situations with care, good judgement and respect for confidentiality. Role can be shared to support responsiveness and provide mutual support. What difference will you make? This is an important role for the movement, helping ensure that people can rebel in safety while modelling the kind of care, responsibility and culture we want to see in the world. What are we looking for? Experience in safeguarding (professional or voluntary), who is able to approach sensitive situations with care, good judgement and respect for confidentiality. Remote What will you be doing? The Safeguarding Lead will be responsible for receiving safeguarding concerns, responding promptly to incoming information, and ensuring that appropriate processes are followed. This includes handling sensitive information with care and in line with confidentiality expectations and GDPR requirements.

• Receiving and responding to safeguarding concerns in a timely way
• Handling sensitive information with care, confidentiality and in line with GDPR
• Following agreed safeguarding processes and signposting where appropriate
• Maintaining clear and appropriate records where needed
• Working with others where necessary to ensure concerns are handled responsibly
