• Due to an increase in work, we are looking for flexible, committed, self-motivated individual to join our team. The hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00. The department is responsible for the cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilising of surgical equipment. No experience necessary as full training is given. Main Duties
• To work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• To reprocess reusable medical devices in a controlled environment.
• To receive and prepare contaminated equipment for washing through an automated process.
• To reassemble and pack equipment to customer requirements.
• To load equipment into sterilisers and unload.
• To dispatch equipment to theatres, wards and departments
• To safely operate decontamination equipment and undertake routine testing as required.
• To undertake general housekeeping of workstations and dispose of clinical/household waste.
• To report and defects of equipment to Supervisors
• To assist in departmental audits.
• To assist in investigating any non-conformances.
• To undertake any training appropriate to HSDU and to complete all mandatory training. What we are looking for
