Associate Category Leader - Home Appliances

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Category Leader to support build our assortment focussing on home appliances providing the best selection of goods for our consumers at the best price. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting the direction and leading a team as well as category management and building meaningful supplier relationships ensuring the optimum product offering is developed for our customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape category strategies and contribute to the growth of a new and dynamic e-commerce business. What you will do:

• Support the end-to-end category management process within home appliances product assortments.
• Set the direction of the small domestic appliances, lead the team and drive success of the fast-growing business
• Support the category leader develop and nurture strategic partnership with international and local brands/supply partners.
• Analyse key metrics and range gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Assist on developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, including pricing structures and promotional campaigns.
• Develop long-term category strategies which are fit for the local market to ensure customer acquisition and retention as well as growth in key category KPIs.
• Cross departmental engagement with supply chain, app development and marketing to deliver a best-in-class service to our customers. About you:
• Experience in leading category management/buying team
• Knowledge about the customers and strong vendor negotiations skills
• Procurement, Merchandising or buying experience within relevant categories. The ideal candidate will have eCommerce experience in home appliances categories.
• Understanding of consumers, with market insights and purchasing expertise.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, data sensitivity, and logical thinking.
• Effective communicator with a passion for continuous learning.
