QC Analyst

QC Analyst required on a permanent basis, based in Cheshire. Requiring a degree in Chemistry, with proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, GC and/or HPLC in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment. Please note that this position will involve working with hazardous chemicals. Title: QC Analyst Location: Cheshire Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 (dependent on experience) Employment Term: Permanent SRG are working with a multinational company who specialise in the creation of speciality chemicals for a range of markets. They are now looking for a QC Analyst to join their analytical team on a permanent basis at their site based in Cheshire. This role will include analysing raw samples and finished products using a range of analytical techniques and instrumentation, along with recording and reporting data accordingly. • Performing wet chemistry techniques to analyse raw materials and finished products (including titrations, pH testing, density testing and others)
• Using analytical instrumentation for analysis including HPLC, GC and IC through following methodology provided
• Recording and reporting data within the quality system- completing documents and spreadsheets accurately
• Reporting results in a timely fashion under direction and priority
• Performing analytical investigations and tests to meet research and customer needs
• Having responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of analytical equipment
• Approving and rejecting raw materials Requirements
• Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
• Proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, HPLC and/or GC
• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals
• Willingness to learn and develop
