We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a leading manufacturing company based in Chatham. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and has experience in managing financial records and processing invoices efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
• Ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.
• Maintaining accurate records and control reports.
• Managing the purchase ledger and resolving purchase ledger discrepancies.
• Liaising with suppliers and resolving any invoice or payment issues.
• Assisting with month-end closing processes and preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure that purchasing systems are efficient and up-to-date.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar role.
• Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
