Commercial Surveyor

The Role Stags are looking to recruit an experienced commercial surveyor to expand its commercial property offering in Devon. This new role with Stags presents a fantastic opportunity for someone to drive the commercial property service primarily based out of our Tiverton office but with time in our Totnes Fore Street office. The role will involve acting for a mix of clients from a central Devon location, assisting with a range of work but with a focus of providing red book valuations. Other work may include landlord and tenant matters, lettings, agency and commercial property management. The role is suited to an ambitious and driven individual looking to progress their career and develop this service in a new location. The successful candidate will be required to build the service with support from the Partnership, develop business contacts and work with other members of the immediate team, wider department and firm as a whole. Requirements The skills and characteristics we are looking for include:

• Member of the RICS with at least 3 years post-qualification experience
• RICS Registered Valuer
• Experience in a range of commercial property matters including valuations for a range of purposes, lettings, agency, rent reviews and lease renewals
• Excellent communication skills
• Driven to meet personal and business targets
• Able to work on your own initiative and as a team
• Good working knowledge of IT including use of Excel, Word & Outlook
• Organised with a high level of attention to detail
• Effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks and ensure deadlines are met
• Confident in your abilities and interested in driving and expanding the business

This new role is therefore part of our expansion plans for this department to cover Exeter, parts of Somerset, Mid, East and North Devon.
