Financial Accountant Bolton / Hybrid £50,000 – £55,000 37.5 hours | Mon–Fri 25 days holiday + bank holidays We're working with a fast-growing, purpose-led healthcare business on the hire of a Financial Reporting Manager to join their evolving finance function. This is a key role reporting into the Head of Reporting, offering genuine exposure to statutory reporting, IFRS, audit, tax and complex accounting matters, with a clear succession and development pathway built into the role. It's well suited to an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant, who enjoys being hands-on while helping to raise the technical standard of a growing finance team. The Role You'll take ownership of the organisation's financial reporting framework, ensuring high-quality, compliant reporting while helping strengthen controls and processes as the business scales. This is not a box-ticking role you'll be trusted to apply judgement, challenge where needed, and work closely with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards (IFRS preferred)
• Own technical accounting matters, including drafting papers and advising on complex transactions
• Act as a key contact for external auditors and lead the year-end audit process
• Ensure balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and robust financial controls
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes and systems
• Support and mentor junior members of the finance team
• Work closely with the Head of Finance as part of a long-term succession plan About You
• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting background with IFRS exposure
• Recently from practice or not long out, with solid statutory reporting and tax experience
• Confident across audit, controls and balance sheet ownership
• Able to explain technical matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders
