Head of IT - Brokerage Fintech

Overview Our Client is seeking a hands-on Head of IT to lead technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, technology risk, and regulatory compliance for its Hong Kong business. This role will be responsible for ensuring the security, resilience, and availability of mission-critical trading systems while acting as the key technology contact for audits, inspections, and regulatory matters. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, cloud environments, cybersecurity, and production support.
• Ensure high availability and operational resilience of trading platforms and business-critical systems.
• Lead IT governance, technology risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Manage SFC-related technology requirements, audits, inspections, and remediation activities.
• Own Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR), and incident management processes.
• Drive security controls, user access management, risk assessments, and technology policies.
• Lead IT projects and work closely with regional technology teams, including the group's technology hub in Hong Kong. Requirements
• 8+ years of IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or technology risk experience within financial services.
• Strong understanding of SFC regulations, IT governance, audit management, and technology risk controls.
• Experience supporting brokerage, trading, fintech, securities, or capital markets environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and business continuity management.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on leadership role managing a lean local team (2 reports).
