Transport Planner

James Kemball part of the GB Global Group is seeking a Transport Planner to join their team in South Kirkby. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring Operator's License and drivers hours legislation are adhered to
• Dealing with any issues that arise impacting operations, including traffic delays, breakdowns, accidents
• Managing drivers including agency drivers and subcontractors
• Alongside Fleet Department Maintain and action all defects immediately following the correct process and ensure any VOR vehicles are kept off the road until rectified
• Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements to achieve service expectations
• Drive high standards and flag opportunities for process improvement
• To ensure constructive relationships with all customers are maintained and developed
• To undertake any duties as may reasonably be required Experience & Skills:
• Proven Container transport experience
• Experience within a customer service background
• Experience in a fast-moving logistics environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel
• Attention to detail supported by high quality written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changes within the work environment
• Problem solver
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Ability to work under pressure, be well organised and to meet deadlines
