Head of Governance & Compliance (Rental / Fleet) Buckinghamshire (Hybrid) | .£80,000 + benefits We are currently supporting a well-established motor finance organisation on a key hire within their governance and compliance function. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle rental or fleet operations to step into a role with broader, strategic impact across a national network. The Opportunity This role sits at the intersection of operations, governance and compliance, with responsibility for overseeing standards across a portfolio of rental and fleet partners. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and evolving standards, policies and codes of conduct across the rental network
• Overseeing a national audit & inspection programme (~240 audits annually)
• Reviewing audit findings, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Engaging with partner organisations to ensure standards are commercially viable and operationally effective
• Managing third-party audit providers and a small internal team Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will bring:
• Strong operational experience within vehicle rental, fleet, or mobility
• Experience at a regional, area or senior operations level
• A deep understanding of commercial drivers within rental or fleet businesses
• Experience managing teams, performance, and operational delivery
• The ability to translate operational insight into governance, standards and best practice Exposure to compliance, audit or regulatory frameworks would be advantageous, but is not essential.
