Senior Civil Designer

Senior Civil Engineer – Wastewater About the Company A rapidly growing UK engineering consultancy delivering infrastructure and detailed design solutions across the water sector. They are expanding their detailed design team and looking for experienced Senior Civil Engineers with UK wastewater experience. The Role An opportunity to join the wastewater design team with responsibility for technical delivery, design checking and mentoring, with progression towards a Design Manager position. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead detailed design of wastewater networks, including rising mains, trunk sewers and gravity systems.
• Design and support projects involving pumping stations, pipeline rehabilitation and renewals.
• Provide technical leadership, design checking and mentoring to engineers and technicians.
• Ensure designs comply with Water Industry Standards, Sewerage Sector Guidance and UK regulations.
• Support optioneering, feasibility studies, programming and project delivery.
• Liaise with water companies, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical input into construction methodologies, risk and site activities. Key Requirements:
• 5+ years' UK wastewater infrastructure experience.
• Strong experience in wastewater pipeline and sewer infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of rising mains, trunk sewers and drainage hydraulics.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Hydraulic modelling experience with InfoWorks ICM, MicroDrainage or similar desirable.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of UK water industry standards.
