Use AI to analyse faster, think deeper and turn data into commercial decisions. A leading global luxury travel business is making a significant investment into Data & AI, building an AI-first analytics function designed to transform how data is analysed and used across the organisation. This isn't a traditional Data Analyst role centred around maintaining dashboards and producing recurring reports. The ambition is to embed AI into the everyday analytical workflow, using it alongside SQL and strong analytical thinking to interrogate data, explore commercial problems, automate repetitive work and get to actionable insight significantly faster. You'll work alongside the Head of Data & Analytics and experienced Senior Analysts, analysing customer, marketing, sales and booking data and helping teams across the organisation make better, data-led decisions. The Opportunity

  • Join a growing Data & Analytics function at a point of significant investment into AI and the underlying data infrastructure.
  • Use AI/LLMs alongside SQL to interrogate data, accelerate analysis and solve commercial problems.
  • Analyse customer, marketing, sales and booking data across a global consumer business.
  • Tackle open-ended questions where there isn't already a dashboard, report or obvious answer.
  • Use AI to help generate and interrogate code, explore hypotheses, automate repetitive analysis and validate outputs.
  • Turn complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with experienced Senior Analysts and the Head of Data & Analytics.
  • Help shape how AI is embedded into the analytical workflow as the function develops. Responsibilities
  • Analyse large and varied datasets to identify trends, opportunities and drivers of business performance.
  • Use SQL to query and interrogate data across customer, marketing, sales and booking datasets.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate data exploration, SQL/Python generation, debugging, analysis and validation.
  • Break down ambiguous commercial questions, form hypotheses and determine the appropriate analytical approach.
  • Conduct analysis across areas including customer behaviour, acquisition, conversion, segmentation, retention and commercial performance.
  • Validate AI-generated code and analytical outputs to ensure findings are accurate and commercially credible.
  • Automate repeatable analytical tasks and workflows where appropriate.
  • Translate detailed analysis into clear insights and recommendations that stakeholders can act upon.
  • Partner with teams across Marketing, Sales, Growth and the wider organisation.
  • Develop increasing ownership of analytical projects as your experience within the business grows. Your Profile
  • 2+ years' experience within Data Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Customer Analytics, Insights or a related analytical role.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, with the ability to understand and interrogate queries.
  • Genuine experience using AI within your analytical workflow, rather than solely for basic chat or Q&A.
  • This could include tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot or similar to support analysis, coding, automation, debugging or validation.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down an ambiguous problem and determine how data can be used to answer it.
  • Commercially minded – interested in understanding why something happened, what it means and what the business should do next, rather than simply reporting numbers.
  • Comfortable communicating analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders and translating complexity into clear recommendations.
  • Experience with Python would be beneficial but isn't essential.
  • Experience across customer, marketing, growth, ecommerce or commercial analytics would be advantageous but isn't essential.
  • Curious about AI and interested in developing more sophisticated ways of incorporating it into your everyday analytical work.
  • Comfortable working within a fast-moving environment where the Data & AI capability is continuing to evolve. Why Join?
  • Join a leading global luxury travel business during a major investment into Data & AI.
  • Opportunity to work within an AI-first analytics function rather than a traditional reporting-led environment.
  • Work alongside experienced analysts and senior Data leadership while developing your own technical, AI and commercial capability.
  • Genuine opportunity to experiment with emerging AI tools and help shape how they're used across the Data & Analytics function.
  • Exposure to a broad range of customer, marketing, sales and commercial data.
  • Opportunity to take increasing ownership of complex analytical problems and build towards Senior Data Analyst level.
  • Work within a purpose-led organisation combining luxury travel with conservation and positive impact across local communities.
  • Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the London office. How to apply To apply for this outstanding opportunity, please contact Daniel Haymes at Pivotal for a confidential discussion on 07442871117 or email daniel@pivotallondon.co.uk.
