Recruitment Agency

Head of Investor Relations | VC-Backed Deep Tech Scale-Up | London, Office-Based The Client Harmonic is delighted to be partnering with one of Europe's most ambitious deep tech companies. The business designs and manufactures advanced AI-driven hardware that is already deployed with some of the world's largest industrial manufacturers, and it is backed by leading venture and strategic industrial investors. Headquartered in London, it has built a world-class engineering team drawn from the leading global technology companies. Scaling manufacturing, operating across several countries and broadening its investor base all place new demands on finance, and the function is now being built out to match. The Role Reporting to a top quality CFO, the Head of Investor Relations will own the company's investor relationships and communications end to end. As the business broadens its investor base across the US and Europe and plans for the long-term path to public markets, this person will be the key point of contact for existing and prospective investors across the US, UK and Europe, and will build the cadence, materials and infrastructure that take investor relations from a scaling private company to an IPO-ready one. The role combines relationship ownership with hands-on delivery: running investor updates and board reporting, owning the cap table, and working closely with the CFO and founders on each funding round. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for existing and prospective investors, including VCs and family offices in the US and Europe.
  • Own the cadence of investor updates and communications, representing performance and strategy clearly and consistently.
  • Prepare board materials and capitalisation reporting with Finance and Legal.
  • Own the cap table and equity processes, working with Legal, Finance and People on option grants, RSUs and related administration.
  • Partner with the CFO, Treasury and founders on equity rounds, contributing to pitch decks, investment memos and financial narrative.
  • Support data-room management and investor diligence during fundraising.
  • Track investor sentiment, comparable companies and market conditions to inform fundraising and positioning.
  • Build scalable IR processes, tooling and disclosures in line with Board and regulatory expectations. Essential Experience
  • Significant experience in investor relations, corporate finance or a closely related field.
  • Raised, or invested in, Series A to C rounds, so you understand both sides of the table in a growth-stage round.
  • Worked at, or raised from, top-tier Bay Area VCs, as much of the capital the business is targeting sits in the US.
  • An established network across VCs and family offices in the US and Europe, which this role will draw on from the start.
  • Experience preparing board materials, investor updates and capitalisation reporting.
  • Strong modelling skills and excellent written communication for investor-facing materials. Desirable Experience
  • IPO readiness or public-company investor relations
  • Background in deep tech, hardware or manufacturing, useful for explaining a capital-intensive model to investors.
  • Familiarity with cap-table and IR tooling.
  • CFA or IR Society accreditation. Salary: £150,000-£200,000 (flexibility for the right candidate) + Equity Location: London, office-based, with regular travel to international offices and to meet investors.
