Senior Manager - Ifrs9 Accounting and Controls

The Senior Manager - IFRS 9 Accounting & Controls role in the financial services industry focuses on overseeing accounting and control processes related to IFRS 9 compliance. • Deliver ongoing IFRS 9 reporting for the UK balance sheet, including review/challenge of reporting solutions and supporting a streamlined reporting process
• Perform monthly expected credit loss pack reviews: reasonableness checks and variance analysis
• Provide technical review of key outputs (IFRS & FINREP credit disclosures, Encumbrance, PRA108) and perform quarterly supplementary reporting reviews
• Run data quality and remediation activities: validate impairment outputs, analyse complex datasets, support automation projects and data-quality fixes
• Own and operate controls (SOX) and help embed/improve the IFRS 9 reporting control framework.

Profile

• Demonstrable experience working within a UK bank / large financial services / IFRS reporting environment
• Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA
• Strong IFRS 9 experience
• Regulatory and financial reporting experience, including experience interpreting requirements such as FINREP and PRA returns
• SOX controls
• Advanced analytical and data remediation experience
• Experience of building, influencing, and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders
