Entasis PartnersSecurity Architect/Engineer | Up to £85,000 + £7,300 car allowance + up to 25% bonus + Generous Perks | East Midlands, Hybrid (2 Days a week onsite) - Our client can't offer visa sponsorship for this role, so you'll need the existing right to work in the UK About the role: Our client is a large, well-established UK manufacturing business with a strong, delivery-focused culture. The security function covers governance, operations and architecture, and the three areas work closely together, supported by an outsourced SOC partner. The estate is a hybrid of on-premise (roughly half Linux, half Windows) and Azure. This role exists to design and deliver the next generation of security across that estate, including the operational technology (OT) side. What you'll be doing as a Security Architect/Engineer:
- Running gap analysis across the estate from an architecture point of view, then designing and implementing the fixes
- Taking designs through configuration, proof of concept and sign-off, then into production and handover to operational teams
- Delivering projects such as OT visibility and monitoring, OT segmentation, passwordless, protective DNS and domain controller hardening - Designing secure remote access for third parties and data security architecture across manufacturing
- Strengthening vulnerability management, resilience and recovery - Building relationships and making the business case for security in an environment where it has to show clear value to win priority What we're looking for from the Security Architect/Engineer:
- Significant security experience that includes real architectural design, not just following existing designs or governance - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender (endpoint, identity and email) plus SIEM and vulnerability management tooling such as Rapid7 or Tenable
- Comfort across mixed Linux and Windows on-premise estates and Azure, with sound network security knowledge - The ability to explain how security reduces risk and supports the core business of making and selling products
- A self-starter who spots security needs and acts on them without waiting to be asked - Confidence engaging stakeholders at every level, from shop floor to exec Qualifications:
- CISSP or equivalent is highly desirable, though proven experience matters most
- Manufacturing, OT or cyber-physical systems experience is highly preferred Why join?
- Greenfield scope across IT and OT, where you shape the architecture rather than inherit it
- End-to-end ownership, from first idea to production
- High visibility, with direct access to senior and technically minded leadership If you have the hands-on engineering and architecture experience this Security Architect/Engineer role needs, apply now.
