Interim Group Financial Controller

Excellent Group Financial Controller opportunity for a large Northern PLC.

Broad role, reporting to the Group CFO. About Our Client Large corporate plc in Northern England.

Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to stakeholders.

Oversee all accounting and finance operations, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes to support business goals.

Supervise and develop a high-performing finance team (c50).

Implement and maintain strong financial controls and risk management processes.

Collaborate with senior management to drive financial strategy and decision-making.

Ensure timely and accurate financial audits and statutory reporting.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements. The Successful Applicant A successful Group Financial Controller should have:

Strong experience in accounting and finance within a larger business, running a larger technical finance team.

UK based, Current UK accounting standards and IFRS essential.

A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams effectively.

Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. What's on Offer

£six figure salary, dependent on the level of experience.
