Head of Learning & Development London - 3 days per week in office Flexible salary We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Head of Learning & Development into a broad and influential role within its HR function. The Head of Learning & Development will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation's learning, talent and capability agenda – supporting wider business strategy, organisational change and employee engagement. This is an opportunity for an experienced L&D / Talent professional who enjoys operating strategically but remains equally comfortable getting close to delivery. The role will include:

  • Developing and delivering business-wide initiatives across leadership, culture and capability.
  • Supporting the organisation's talent management, succession and high-potential development agenda.
  • Coaching individuals and teams across the organisation.
  • Partnering with senior leaders to identify development needs and create commercially relevant solutions.
  • Managing external learning partners and supporting L&D budgets.
  • Helping evolve the use of digital learning and emerging technologies, including AI, to improve accessibility, personalisation and impact. We're looking for someone who can bring:
  • Strong experience across Learning & Development, Talent or Organisational Development.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives and organisational change.
  • Credibility with Executive and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • A combination of strategic thinking and strong operational delivery.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • An interest in how digital learning, data and AI can enhance the learning experience and demonstrate impact. This would suit someone looking for a high-profile L&D leadership opportunity with a genuinely broad remit, where they can influence the wider talent and people agenda rather than simply manage a portfolio of learning programmes.
