Data Business Analyst

Data Business Analyst Inside IR35 £500/day 2 days in Chessington based office We're looking for a collaborative and commercially minded Business Analyst to work closely with business users, stakeholders, Product Owners and technical teams to understand business needs, define clear outcomes and translate requirements into actionable Agile delivery artefacts. Key Responsibilities

• Understand the need: Engage directly with business users to understand problems, objectives, outcomes, benefits, risks and success measures.
• Define requirements: Elicit, analyse, challenge and document clear business, functional, non-functional, process and data requirements.
• Translate into delivery: Create high-quality epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, business rules and supporting documentation.
• Maintain documentation: Produce concise, structured documentation, ensuring requirements, decisions, processes and data are clear and traceable.
• Use data and technology effectively: Understand systems, integrations, APIs, data flows and development constraints, with the ability to interpret code/configuration where required to support impact analysis and technical discussions.
• Manage the backlog: Work with Product Owners and delivery teams to prioritise and refine requirements based on business value, operational impact, risk and agreed priorities.
• Shape solutions: Collaborate with architects, developers, application teams, infrastructure and suppliers to assess options, dependencies, feasibility and impacts.
• Bridge business and technology: Translate business needs into technical requirements — and technical solutions back into clear business outcomes.
• Facilitate collaboration: Lead requirements workshops, interviews, process walkthroughs and stakeholder sessions, adapting your approach to the audience and complexity.
• Support Agile delivery: Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, ensuring requirements remain clear, testable and aligned to user needs. What You'll Bring
• Strong experience as a Data Business Analyst within an Agile delivery environment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
• Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, process mapping and data requirements.
• A structured approach to requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation.
• Ability to challenge constructively and turn complex business needs into clear, deliverable outcomes.
• Confidence working across business and technical teams and translating between the two.
• Sufficient technical understanding to engage effectively with architecture, development, data and operational teams.
