Business Development Manager - Market Research - Insight and Transformation. London. Hybrid

Do you know how to turn a great research conversation into a commercial opportunity? We're looking for an experienced market research business development professional to join the Growth team of an ambitious insight and transformation business. This is a new business role with real ownership of the sales pipeline and the opportunity to build relationships with senior research and insight buyers. You'll be selling a broad research offering spanning quantitative and qualitative research, brand tracking, audience segmentation, stakeholder and opinion research and proprietary research products, working alongside experienced researchers to develop solutions that genuinely answer client challenges. You'll be responsible for:

• Building and developing your own new business pipeline
• Developing relationships with senior research, insight and brand buyers
• Identifying opportunities through targeted outreach, LinkedIn, events, conferences and warm introductions
• Qualifying research briefs and identifying where the business can add real value
• Working with research specialists on proposals and pitches
• Managing opportunities through to conversion and sharing market intelligence with the wider business We're looking for someone with:
• At least 3 years' experience selling market research services, ideally within a research agency
• A good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research and key methodologies
• An established network among research, insight or brand buyers
• The confidence to have credible conversations with senior and technically minded clients
• A proactive, commercially minded approach and genuine appetite for winning new business
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with research specialists The position offers a basic salary of £50k–£60k, depending on experience, plus commission.
