Accounting Manager, UK

Omega World Travel is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our UK operation in London. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for our UK accounting and financial reporting, working closely with our UK management team and US finance leadership. Important: Candidates must have previous accounting experience within a travel agency or Travel Management Company (TMC) and strong practical knowledge of IATA BSP accounting, reconciliation and settlement processes. Key responsibilities include: ·       Managing the day-to-day UK accounting function ·       IATA BSP reconciliation and airline settlements ·       Monthly and year-end financial reporting ·       Management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations ·       Customer receipts, supplier payments, refunds and commissions ·       VAT, tax and statutory reporting support ·       Cash-flow management, budgeting and forecasting ·       Audit preparation and financial controls ·       Intercompany and multi-currency accounting What we're looking for: ·       ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification ·       5+ years' relevant accounting experience ·       Travel agency/TMC accounting experience – essential ·       Hands-on IATA BSP experience – essential ·       Strong knowledge of UK accounting and VAT requirements ·       Excellent Excel and financial systems skills ·       A practical, organised and hands-on approach Experience with NetSuite OneWorld, US GAAP and international accounting would be an advantage.
