Senior Planning Executive
at Speak to KitOverview A media agency based in West London is hiring a Senior Planning Executive to join their planning team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is hybrid, with three to four days a week in the West London office. This role sits at the heart of a high-profile financial services account, where the expectation is genuine ownership, not just task execution. You will be managing campaign workflows, interpreting audience and market data, and building the kind of trusted client relationship where your recommendations actually shape decisions. Financial services is a demanding category: compliance constraints, careful sign-off processes, and stakeholders who expect rigour. For someone who thrives on that complexity and brings a media agency instinct for pace and client service, this is a role with real substance. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day delivery of integrated campaigns, keeping work accurate and on schedule
- Act as a trusted client contact, communicating updates and managing expectations clearly
- Own campaign workflows, including budget management, spend tracking, and query resolution
- Gather and interpret market, competitor, and audience insight to inform planning
- Contribute to media strategy development, turning data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Monitor campaign performance and identify optimisation opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams and partner agencies to deliver connected campaigns Requirements Must-haves:
- Media agency background, with integrated campaign experience
- Confident client communication, capable of holding a relationship independently
- Strong organisational skills across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Ability to translate data and insight into clear strategic recommendations
- Detail-focused and proactive approach to problem solving Nice-to-haves:
- Experience on financial services or other regulated category accounts
- Familiarity with compliance-led sign-off processes
- Growing interest in media strategy and audience planning What Success Looks Like
- Trusted by the client as a reliable, thoughtful point of contact within the first few months
- Campaign workstreams running smoothly, with no dropped balls on budget or timelines
- Data and insight being turned into recommendations the client genuinely acts on
- Confident contribution to media strategy discussions, not just execution of briefs Team and Culture
- Agency environment with the pace and client-service standards that come with it
- Close collaboration across planning, performance, and client teams
- High bar for quality of thinking, not just quality of output Challenges
- Financial services brings compliance constraints and conservative sign-off processes, so patience with that rhythm matters
- Stakeholders on this account are demanding and expect rigour, which is rewarding for the right person and wearing for the wrong one
- The step up to "trusted client contact" is real: this is not a coordinator role, and the expectation to hold the relationship independently comes early
