We are inviting applications for an SEN Teaching Assistant at a nurturing school in Winsford. This full-time, long-term position is ideal for someone passionate about providing support to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in classroom settings and on a one-to-one basis.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the student's education and well-being.
• Facilitate the inclusion of SEN students in all school activities, adapting resources and strategies to meet their needs.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, encouraging independence and self-confidence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN students.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs and the strategies to address these.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, staff, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a resilient attitude towards the challenges of the role.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or a willingness to pursue professional development in this area.
