About the job

Help us strengthen the relationships behind our customer journeys MoneyPlus helps people regain control of their finances through clear, practical support. We work with a range of external partners that can affect how customers reach us, how services are delivered and how well risks are managed. We are looking for a Third Party Risk and Oversight Manager to provide an independent second line view of those relationships. You will help the business understand third party risk before arrangements go live and test how controls and customer outcomes operate once they are in place. This is a manager level individual contributor role. Business owners will continue to manage their relationships and make the relevant decisions. You will provide practical advice, evidence based review, constructive challenge and clear escalation. What you will do

  • Build a clear view of material third parties, including the accountable owner, risk tier, evidence held and oversight required.
  • Review and challenge due diligence, risk assessments and proposed controls during onboarding and material changes.
  • Bring in specialist input on areas such as data protection, information security, resilience, conduct and regulatory permissions where needed.
  • Plan and carry out risk based reviews, thematic work and targeted testing after relationships are live.
  • Use management information, complaints, incidents, calls, files, lead sources, audit findings and customer outcomes to test whether arrangements work in practice.
  • Track findings and actions, challenge ineffective remediation and escalate concerns where a relationship may need to be restricted, suspended or reconsidered.
  • Provide clear reporting on decisions, exceptions, themes and emerging risks for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Give particular attention to introducers, marketing and lead generation partners, and ARs or IARs because of their potential impact on customers. What we are looking for
  • Experience in operational risk, compliance monitoring, assurance, internal audit, supplier or outsourcing governance, conduct risk, partner oversight or a comparable regulated role.
  • The ability to assess controls and imperfect evidence, reach a proportionate conclusion and explain the risk clearly.
  • Experience carrying out reviews, testing or assurance and following findings through to resolution.
  • Confidence challenging senior stakeholders constructively while maintaining clear first line and second line accountability.
  • Strong written judgement, including assessments, findings, action plans and management information.
  • A practical approach to building effective processes in a developing control environment. Helpful but not essential Direct third party risk management experience is useful, but the job title on your CV does not need to match. Experience in FCA regulated consumer finance, debt advice, introducer or AR oversight, outsourcing, offshore operations, data protection, information security or operational resilience would also be valuable. Why join MoneyPlus? We provide First Aid for Finances, helping people move from crisis to control. Our debt advice and solutions combine digital convenience with human care, supporting customers through some of the most challenging financial circumstances they may face. You will have the opportunity to shape a developing oversight programme and work across a varied portfolio of customer facing and operational relationships. The role offers genuine scope to improve how risk is understood, tested and acted on across the business. You do not need to meet every desirable criterion to apply. MoneyPlus is committed to an inclusive recruitment process, and reasonable adjustments are available at any stage. Careers - MoneyPlus Advice
