Personal Tax Semi Senior

A well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking a Private Client Tax Semi Senior to join its growing tax team.

This is a newly created role due to continued growth within the firm's personal tax portfolio. Working directly with an experienced Personal Tax Director, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of personal tax compliance work while developing your knowledge of more complex tax matters, trusts and advisory projects.

The Role

• Preparing personal tax returns for a portfolio of private clients.
• Managing personal tax compliance work from start to completion.
• Working with a varied client base including high net worth individuals, pensioners and trusts.
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to tax queries.
• Supporting with tax planning and advisory work as your experience develops.
• Working closely with the Personal Tax Director and wider tax team.

About You

To be considered, you will need:

• A minimum of 3 years' Accountancy Practice experience within Personal Tax Compliance.
• Experience preparing and managing self-assessment tax returns.
• A strong understanding of personal tax compliance and current HMRC requirements.
• Knowledge of Making Tax Digital.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently.
