About the Role

Role Purpose:

Trade Compliance Analysts execute trade compliance activities in line with global standards, ensuring accurate, timely screening and decision-making. Analysts are expected not only to process work, but to apply judgement, recognize risk patterns, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Role scope increases by tier based on complexity, autonomy, and risk exposure.

Your Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Tier 1 - Foundational Execution

o Perform sanctions party and embargo screening

o Execute low-risk block releases following defined rules

o Validate customer, partner, and transaction data

o Escalate exceptions clearly and with supporting evidence

Tier 2 - Judgement & Risk Handling

o Support dual-use assessments and license determination

o Handle medium-risk escalations requiring judgement

o Identify repeat data quality or process issues

o Support Team Leads with case reviews and peer coaching

APAC GTS is doing the export from Singapore and minimal support such as CI printing for the rest of APAC countries, can we include it around here? The existing job title we have is Trade Compliance and Shipping executive, does it concern if we are to change into Trade Compliance Analyst or do we still use the existing job title?

Senior Analyst - Expert & Control Role

o Lead complex classification, licensing, and precedent cases

o Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring errors or delays

o Provide input into automation logic, confidence scoring, and tuning

o Support reporting, dashboards, and audit preparation

Qualifications / Requirements

Qualifications

o Experience in trade compliance, customs, logistics, or regulatory operations

o Familiarity with SAP GTS or equivalent compliance systems

o Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

o High attention to detail with risk awareness

o Desire to develop deep subject-matter expertise
